Hello World!

Yes she lives! I've been so busy I haven't even really been checking my email. So what did you all think of conference? I thought it was amazing! I loved all the talks and it was exactly what I needed.
If you missed conference I would reccomend going to lds.org and watching some of the videos or reading some of the articles. When you get to the homepage it's displayed right there for now that the transcripts are published and there's a link to get to them. Easier than me telling you how to get to them thru the archives.
Anyway, since my last post I've been working, taking a basic EMT class, working at Chick-fil-A and have started school. It's deffinately keeping me out of trouble. I barely have time to turn around! But I have been finding time to do some yoga on some days. I haven't been getting to youth night at church very much. Since I'm taking EMT class on tuesdays and thursdays I need wednesday nights to work. Oh well, I miss it a lot but I'm learning new things and making new friends and that's usually a good thing right?
Well, I found a new fun thing to do and I'm going to try it out. I'll tell you what it was if I like it!

Leaving For Camp

I have deffinately decided I like President Reagan. He was awesome! And I would deffinately recommend watching/reading (I haven't read) "Reagan's War". It was a little difficult to follow the movie, but I had some interesting thoughts while watching it and really enjoyed it.

Anyway, like I said I'm leaving for camp and will be back on Saturday afternoon. In the meantime, just so you won't miss me :), I posted some new quotes on my lyrics page. There are quite a few by Winston Churchill that I found while looking for something else, but hey, who can resist a Churchill quote?! Hope you enjoy!

Things you learn from you brothers

Did you know that you can shoot a potato 60 feet out of a pvc pipe with a sparker and some hairspray?

Did you know that for the past 6 years the inner tubes we've been buying for the pool are black and white so that they look like tires?

Did you know that if you cover the flash on a digital camera while taking a picture the picture turns red?

And if you cover the focus the picture turns blue?

Did you know that they use squished beetles to get rid of planter warts?

And ingrown toenails can happen within two weeks of eachother?

Anything funny is only stays funny if there is at least a 5 second gap between citations and then only 3 times repeated in one hour. Don't be the cause of annoyance.

Stalling

Yes I am a procrastinator (sp?) if'n you couldn't tell and right now I'm avoiding doing something that should be done by 8 o'clock tomorrow morning. I'm bad I know. Well, I just wanted to tell you I went to an awesome LDSEHE conference this week at VA beach! LDSEHE is Latter Day Saint Eastern Home Educators. It was amazing! There were fantastic speakers which I'll tell you about later. And I met some awesome incredible youth of my age and standards and position. For those of you aren't homeschoolers, it's not often for someone like me to find someone else my age who understands what you're talking about in religion as well as how awkward it feels being around other people our age (if that makes any sense :)) Well, I just wanted my friends, homeschooled and not, to know I love them and that I'm glad they're my friends. And to my not homeschooled friends I wanted to say thanks for putting up with my idiosyncrasies and oddities.
Luv,
Linz

Hello to one and all! Just thought I'd post and see who felt the storm? Other than Matthew :) I seem to have slept through the whole thing! I woke up at six and thought I was late for seminary when they had canceled it!

Lindsay Late at night

This is me after a not so good Sunday in March. I get a little hyper after those kind of days and was heading for the shower. Before I got there though I decided to comb out my curls which were plastered in place with hairspray and hair gel. I just combed it out then back toward my head and I looked like a witch. I brought my family many laughs and my day was finally classified as a good day.

Btw, my mom is behind the camera and the other camera (the one you can see) is being done by my brother in law.

^_^

I was just on looking for personal progress stuff and thought I'd take some pics. So here I am! BTW if anyone has any ideas for what I can do with my hair for mormon prom could you let me know? Thanx!

Luv, me

This is my fav! Lindsay the Witch! (I'll post the video later :))

General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Wow this confernce has been a really good one! Even though I've been having a hard time concentrating (a REALLY hard time concentrating!) This is always my favortie time of the year. The time when we sit at the feet of God's prophets and hear his words. Words of love, encouragement, and guidance from a Heavenly Father who loves us, through men who love us and pray for our success.
I loved President Monson's comment after Elder Wirthlin's talk about the time difference between Hamburg and Salt Lake! President Monson has a great sense of humor! That's got to be a godly attribute or heaven is going to be very boring.
One of my favorite talks so far was the one Elder Wirthlin gave about caring for the one. That seems to be a phrase that keeps coming up.
Well, I'm hungry so I think I'll go get a snack before I think of something else to do.

Here we are, last post of 2007! I hope you all have had a good year, I know mine has been amazing! Ok, I have posted 2 songs (impressive, no? :) jk). And they are:
Stealing Cinderella (it is akin to butterfly kisses but it's the boyfriends point of veiw. And if you don't know that one, there's one on my site called "I loved her first" which is a country version of "butterfly kisses".)
The other one is "Carol of the Bells" which I'm sure none of you have ever heard before :). I've also started another section of my site devoted entirely to classic Christmas songs. I'll be collecting them this year so next Christmas I'll have something to take caroling (and anyone else who wants to.)
Anyway, I hope this year brings each of you new opportunities, new friends, and something wonderful you never expected.
Love
Lindsay

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas...
Hellos to one and all! I have a list of songs I'm gonna put on when I have more time, but right now I don't have time to look them up. This post is to say that I am starting to look into different careers I am interested in. And while doing this I thought it would be kinda cool to video record talking to people who are in these professions I am interested in. Don't know if they'll let me, but I'm almost positive the first guy I wanna talk to will go for it. So if anyone has any good questions to ask a Nero-sergeon send em to me and I'll put them on my list to ask him. If I can record it I'll post it so everyone can see. I am going to try to talk to him in Febuary so I need all questions by the end of January. Thanks!

10/12/07

Aloha. Been awhile. Well as most of you know I haven't been on this because I've been doing a missionary month thing. It was cool, but I probably wasn't as dedicated to it as I shoulda been. Anyway, that's why I haven't been on. Now the other thing is we had to put my dog down on Wednesday. So I'm not the happiest person in the world right now. Thus I didn't really post any "happy" songs, but I did post some new ones. And here they are:
My Immortal
Don't Blink
Don't Laugh at Me
Dreaming with a Broken Heart
Three Wooden Crosses
He Ain't the Leavin Kind and
When the Sand Runs Out
Actually the last three are kind of a happy song, very inspiring. Anyway, that's all I have for now. Oh I just saw that the links to the rest of the site got removed, I'm fixing that right now. Sorry.

8/24/07

I just posted a great song called "What if She's an Angel" by Tommy Shane Steiner. It is a beautiful song that really makes you think about helping people more. I don't really agree with the first verse, which talks about giving money to homeless people, you never know what they're gonna do with it and it might not be good, but the message is excellent. There is a music video available on YouTube , it is really nice. I hope you all delight in this new song.

8/19/07

I just put another page on my page called Fun Stuff its got some picture from a mock first aid thing I helped to do while I was in Hawaii. I'm having a hard time with my site right now though so for awhile this will be the only link. I hope you enjoy it!

8/19/07

I finally got some Shel Silverstien on the nick-nack page! Three of 'em. This week we got: "Golden Goose" if I was hungry this is probably what would happen. "Reachin' Richard" I just thought it was cute. And "Every Lunchtime" in honor of a new school year! I hope you all enjoy!

8/8/07

Hey, sorry its been awhile! I'm gonna get on putting up a poem today! This just seemed more important: I don't know how many of you have heard about what has been going on with the Madelein McCann case, but there was a false sighting of her in Belgium. It was given by a child therapist and DNA tests have just recently concluded that it was not her. Also, a suspects house has just been searched, but there is little information about that as of yet. And finally, blood specks were just discovered in the hotel room where Madelein was abducted from. They are running tests on those to see if they belong to her. How they missed them for so long is beyond me, but, if they are hers the police are assuming that Madelein is not alive. Please pray for the McCanns while they are waiting for the results. They still believe she is alive, but please pray for them. I can't imagine what they're going through.

7/24/07

I just added the songs (the ones I like) from Newsies! Look under soundtracks or for the good songs under their respective letters.

7/22/07

Got Shel Silverstien up. It's called "My Rules". My sister thought that they were actually MY rules for my spouse. Just so you know they are not. I don't think I've ever had chicken-dumpling stew, so I don't care one way or the other if he can make it perfectly or not. The other stuff, well... :) I'm not that mean I don't think.

7/20/07

Hey all you people out there! I got some of my links back. I seem to have lost one, but I am working to get it back. Sorry Steven! As for the rest, I think it all works. If you have any problems let me know. Sorry for messing that up!
One other thing. On the Quote page I have added some quotes from LOTR. I don't like the movies to much, but those are some quotes I did like. Should you have any good ones I would love to add them to my site! Thank you lovely people!

7/17/07

I was being silly and messed my site up before I decided what I was doing! So right now this is how it's gonna be. I gotta go now but I'll make it easier to manuver later. SORRY!

7/15/07

I just received an email from a friend of mine an thought it would be a good thing to put out there. In march there was a little girlover in Europe who got kidnapped while on vacation. Well, someone found a good way to identify her. Madeleine McCann's right pupil has a spot where it bleeds into the iris. For more info of what is happening with this case go to http://bringmadeleinehome.com This is not an email scam, I and my friend looked it up on snopes. It's real.

7/14/07

I have just finished alphabetizing all the songs that this page contains, which is approx 142 songs. By approx. 74 artists. I have also added a link to the website of a band in my hometown. I think they're pretty cool. They have song music samples on their site. The link is in the left column. Check 'em out!
Also, if you should look at a song that does not have the same backround as this could you please email me and let me know which it was? I'm trying to make it all match. Thank you!
And I'd like to thank all you lovely people who keep coming back! You are AWESOME! Thank you!

7/13/07

Hey all you Phantom fans! Just added a really good song called "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. Go to artists and click on soundtracks. I have it in there wrong but I'll fix it later. I promise
